PRAYING WITH PURPOSE!

Scripture: "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." — James 5:16b (NKJV) Devotional Message: Prayer is not a ritual to check off our daily list—it is a powerful, purposeful connection with the heart of God. James reminds us that the prayers of a righteous person—one who seeks God sincerely—carry weight. When prayer is both effective (rooted in God’s truth) and fervent (offered with passion and sincerity), it brings real, lasting results. To pray with purpose means we approach God with intention, not routine. We come boldly, believing He hears and responds. We don’t pray aimlessly, but with faith, knowing that our petitions align with His will and invite His hand into our lives and situations. Purposeful prayer transforms us. It shifts our focus from problems to promises, from anxiety to assurance. It invites heaven into the everyday. God is not moved by fancy words but by a surrendered heart that trusts Him fully and speaks in faith. Today, ask yourself: Are my prayers rooted in faith and expectation? Am I praying with purpose, trusting God to move? Prayer: Almighty Father, teach me to pray with purpose and passion. Let my prayers be effective and aligned with Your will.
