As a queer WOC, she recognizes that her voice is her power and does what she can to empower others to use theirs.In addition to her communications role, she is also a governor appointee on the Board of Psychology for the State of California and on the Board of Directors for Somos Familia, an organization founded by two moms from the East Bay, who wanted to create support and acceptance for Latina/o/x lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning youth and their families. She is also a graduate of Equality California’s 2019 Leadership Academy in Northern California. She earned her Master of Business Administration in marketing from Baker College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in film and television from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts
