Psalm 73, 74, & 75

from Perfectly Imperfect Together · host Perfectly Imperfect Together

In Psalm 73, 74, & 75, Asaph brings all of his questions to God and trusts God will answer. God does answer. Asaph received his answers as he worshiped and praised the Lord. It was through worship that he received a deeper understanding of God and who God is. He was struggling with the wicked, prideful, arrogant people appearing as though they have no burdens, no troubles, and keep getting richer. He brought everything to God and understands now that God is good, kind, and loving. He understands that God's love is holy love and wickedness, sin, and evil will face judgment and punishment from God. Our holy, perfect God cannot allow sin to go unpunished. Jesus came to earth and died, carrying our sins to the cross with Him. He rose from that grave because death cannot hold life down. If we choose Jesus, repent, and submit to Him for our lives out of passionate love for Him and who He is, our sins have already been judged. We receive His righteousness instead. It's up to us to choose humble repentance and receive His holiness. It's up to us to pursue Jesus, worship Him, praise Him, and passionately live for Him with every exhale He gives us.
