High rip current risk persists through Monday with seven foot waves today and six foot waves Monday. More showers and thunderstorms are expected, especially Monday when conditions stay mostly cloudy. The north central beaches around Arecibo and Dorado also share the high rip current risk through Monday. Seven foot surf today tapers to six feet Monday. Today starts partly sunny before clouds move in with showers and thunderstorms. Monday looks mostly sunny until mid afternoon. Over in the northwest around Aguadilla and Isabela, high rip current risk continues through Monday. Expect seven foot waves today and six feet Monday. Winds are lighter here, generally five to ten miles per hour. Today is mostly sunny until noon, then clouds and showers develop. Shifting to the western side near Mayaguez, high rip current risk ends late tonight. Six foot surf today drops to four feet Monday when the rip current risk decreases to moderate. Conditions start sunny before becoming mostly cloudy with showers. The southwest coast near Cabo Rojo presents a different picture entirely. Low rip current risk today with just three foot waves and mostly sunny skies. By Monday, the rip current risk bumps to moderate with four foot surf. Expect scattered showers throughout the period with consistent east winds around fifteen miles per hour. Ponce and vicinity on the south central coast enjoy low rip current risk both today and Monday. Three foot waves, sunny to mostly cloudy skies, and generally pleasant conditions make this a safer option. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are still possible. The southeast beaches around Guayama offer moderate rip current risk with four foot waves today and Monday. Mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected. Now for the islands. Culebra maintains high rip current risk through Monday with seven foot waves today declining to six feet Monday. Partly sunny skies with scattered showers and stronger east winds around twenty miles per hour. Vieques shows high rip current risk today ending late tonight. Six foot surf today becomes four feet Monday when risk drops to moderate. Expect scattered showers with stronger winds around fifteen to twenty miles per hour.
