There’s some truth to “conspiracy theories” the government doesn’t want you to know  Season 6, Deep Dive Is it possible for the government to control our memories with a pill? Maybe. My government and yours have been hiding things for years, this is not breaking news. Some defend the government’s secrecy by stating they are doing this for the greater good. I’m not sure what the “greater good” is. The term, conspiracy theory, was invented by the CIA in 1967 in relation to John F Kennedy’s assassination to belittle and marginalize people from asking uncomfortable questions and tipping over sacred cows. However this may be another conspiracy theory according to some online sources.
