Esta semana te voy a convidar un artículo que escribí en Psicología y Mente sobre nuestras tendencias controladoras y cómo relajarnos un poco para no sufrir. A forma de preámbulo me gustaría decir que es completamente humano querer controlar nuestro mundo exterior con todo tipo de acciones que nos eviten exponernos a situaciones desagradables. ¿Cómo lo hacemos? Diseñando mil estrategias, estando hiper-vigilantes, diciéndoles a los demás como tienen que hacer las cosas, y obsesionándonos con nuestros pensamientos. Sin embargo, a diario somos testigos de situaciones que están fuera de nuestro control - el paso del tiempo, las enfermedades, las partidas de los seres queridos, las reacciones de los demás, etc. Pienso en la importancia de pausar, entregarse y confiar. Es todo un desafío pero vale la pena. El lugar de el/la controlador/a nos saca del aquí y ahora, nos lleva a escenarios futuros imaginarios y nos aturde. ¿A qué precio estamos dispuestos a dejarlo todo en esta máquina del hacer? ¿Cuánto vamos a sacrificar en pos del qué dirán si no cumplimos con esto o aquello? Recuerda que querer tenerlo todo bajo control hace que la amígdala se active y esto se siente como si el cerebro se ciñera como un puño apretado, y en consecuencia, nuestro sistema nervioso se llena de estrés y no da resultados.
