Real Change: The Sin of Pride

Repentance from the sin of pride:

Pride can take many forms, look a hundred different ways, and lurk undiagnosed in our hearts. It can kill our ability to pray, put our dependence on ourselves instead of on the cross, lead to the anxiety of perfectionism, and cripple our ability to love others well. Diagnose the lies of pride, and counter them with humility at the cross.

Diagnostic questions for pride to ask this week:
1. Have I looked down on anyone today?
2. Have I lived today as if there was no God?
3. Have I reveled in my religiosity today?
4. Have I been self-absorbed and inattentive to the needs of others today?
