Ruth Beatty // Pastry Chef

Ruth Beatty is a pastry chef in Pittsburgh who has employed her craft in a variety of ways, from catering, to working at Heinz Hall. She spoke with Genevieve about her various experiences, both good and bad, in the industry. Ruth also shares her perspective on the history of food in Pittsburgh, moving from local bakeries to mass production and processing and the resurgence of local bakeries and restaurants.  You can find Ruth every Wednesday at Allegheny Wine Mixer's Fondue Night from 5 pm to midnight.
