from Confessions of a Disney Cast Member · host The Disney Confessionist

It's time for our first interview of Season 2 - and what better way than to start with our gal Charlotte who's fresh off the UK CRP. In this episode, we chat with @circleoflifechar about her three times working for the mouse. The first being on the academic exchange programme at Festival of the Lion King in Theatre Operations and Quick Service at Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom. Then onto working at the Swan and Dolphin resort on the J1 Visa Program. Before finally being literally full circle as she went on to work at the Rose & Crown for a year post-covid. We dive deep into all of these amazing experiences Charlotte has had and boy did we have a good time chatting! The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
