In this episode we attempt to redeem the ideas of the physicist Amit Goswami who made a strong impression on Chris (and even inspired the podcast's logo), but had a terrible showing on the Joe Rogan Experience back in 2013 (JRE 334), sabotaging his opportunity for broader appeal. His ideas may not have hit the mainstream, but his book The Self Aware Universe brings together an astonishing synthesis of quantum physics and religion. We discuss connections between the philosophical idea of the realm of forms and the religious idea of a transcendent realm with the no-mans-land of quantum superposition and quantum leaps.
