This week Sarah and Mike caught up with CEO / Executive Producer at Shining Isle Productions to talk about the upcoming animated series, The Wingfeather Saga. Chris is a creator of family and faith-infused entertainment and spent over a decade producing 16 movies for the venerated VeggieTales franchise. That included the wildly successful "Wonderful Wizard of Ha's," "Saint Nicholas" and "Noah's Ark." During that time, he also oversaw the multi-national team to create new 20x22min episodes of "3-2-1 Penguins" CG animated series for NBC/Qubo. These titles have been enjoyed by millions of families, generating millions in revenue. He is also creator of the acclaimed “Slugs & Bugs Show” with Brentwood Studios and RightNow Media. Chris is passionate about creating content that will serve families with stories of truth and beauty. He lives in Franklin, TN with his wife and six children. His company Shining Isle Productions is currently producing season one of The Wingfeather Saga animated series, in partnership with Angel Studios. The Wingfeather Saga by author-singer-songwriter Andrew Peterson is a series of four fantasy-adventure novels about the three Igiby children, Janner, Kalmar, and Leeli. They live in a world called Aerwiar (which is exactly like our world, except they don't have electricity or gunpowder), and there are all sorts of creepy animals (like Sea Dragons and Tooth Cows). The children are about to discover that the ordinary little town where they live is anything but ordinary. In fact, the families at the center of a great mystery that will change their lives - and their world - forever!
