Dizer não A Mari me pediu para acompanhá-la na festa da empresa. Dei um não de cara. Já me meti em muita enrascadapor não dizer não. A primeira delas foi com a Mari mesma. Ela tinha acabado de fazer um curso de confeitaria. Saiu do curso pensando que era a confeiteira do Brasil. Falava que ia abrir uma empresa, ia fazer muito dinheiro, ia ser um sucesso. Só lhe faltava o capital. Primeiro ela me pediu dinheiro emprestado e eu virei a cara. Depois, ela preparou uma apresentação para me mostrar que excelente oportunidade de negócio eu ia deixar passar. Eu disse a ela que nem morto faria isso. Já trabalho em dois empregos e tem um filho para cuidar. Meses mais tarde, ela ainda não tinha tirado a ideia da cabeça. Mari fez uma última tentativa, dessa vez apresentando o negócio como uma oportunidade de investimento. Eu seria um acionista na empresa dela. Coloco o dinheiro aqui, retiro o lucro ali. Nessa terceira tentativa, ela parecia mais racional. E eu pensei que não custaria nada dar uma chance. Ledo engano. Ela pegou o dinheiro, investiu no maquinário, produziu um montão de bolos, mas agora precisava de treinamento para vendê-los. Acabou que fiquei a ver navios. Desde então, recusotodo convite e sugestão da Mari. Ainda pensei duas vezes quando ela me disse que ia ter comida de graça na festa. Mas não dá.
