Her commitment is to provide lifelong transformational habits to restore a powerful internal sense of control. Garcia learned that extreme independence is a trauma driven response and a natural one which can be defeated through focused, self-awareness and intentional control.  Garcia thanks for dedicating your life to help others and thanks for having the courage to endure all you have and then share that pain with others – with the hope and belief you can guide a victim to a new life.   Garcia, welcome to the show. TOTD – “Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it.  Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy – the experiences that make us the most vulnerable.  Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”   Brene Brown In this episode:What was life like growing up?What are your life’s essential ingredientsBest thing you do for yourselfLife threatening car accident… what did you learn from being in that space…Inner voice…The importance of self-awareness, emotional, situational awarenessWarning Signs/RED FLAGS – how to identify whose flags they are…3 phases in the domestic violence cycle – tension building, violent episode, remorseful/honeymoonTypes of violence – physical, sexual, psychological, economic800-799-7233  National Domestic Violence HotlineTHE HOTLINE.ORG -
