SEASON 3 / EPISODE 6 - LETTING GO OF EXPECTATIONS

Something that I’ve found in my latest internal maintenance and inventory is that, as much as I try not to, I still find myself taking certain things personally, especially when the words or actions are coming from someone I trust and love. This isn’t just a 'me' thing, this is a 'we' thing, because we all have the tendency to personalize and internalize these unmet expectations which leads to disappointments. We create unnecessary counterproductive narratives around these experiences that leaves us feeling bad, hurt, judged, unloved, unseen, unsafe, or simply unimportant.
