from Ask The Doctor Podcast · host Ask The Doctor - Dr Michael Lange

Dr Michael Lange and Dr Susan Summerton discuss health hacks and new year's resolutions to promote overall wellness. The theme of today's show was each of us has the power to make a difference in our current and future lives. Dr Susan Summerton actually is an example of anti-aging / wellness with her recently winning an award for the fastest % body fat loss and muscle synthesis and her local gym contest. Dr Summerton walks the walk and is able to convey this to her patients at the Lange Eye Institute and they benefit dramatically from this. Both doctors discuss how the combination of proper diet (Lange Survival Diet), proper evidence-based supplements (Fortifeye Vitamins) weight management, exercise, hydration, sleep, positive mind set and lifestyle changes work synergistically to combat against aging and diseases. They discuss the importance of consuming specific foods high in carotenoids in the xanthophyll family. These foods are spinach, kale, orange bell peppers, Gogi berries and wild salmon. They also discuss how all fat isnt bad and fat in dairy and beef is much better when it comes from grass fed cows. They all agree that trans fats are terrible and should never be consumed. Dr Lange discussed nutrition and macular degeneration with a caller and when he recommends using a zinc free version of Fortifeye Macular Defense vs one with zinc. He also mentions the Fortifeye Healthy Weight Loss Bundle and how to use it to lose weight. Weight management is one of the number one things all of us can do for overall wellness and should be one of the new year's resolutions for those that are overweight.
