Snowy is lonely and looks for a friend to play with. Snowy finds Penny, a little girl sitting by herself. Snowy becomes a giant snowman which is much too big and he topples over. Next Snowy becomes a choo choo train and then flies it up in the sky!!! He then plays with his new friend Penny by making snow angels in the snow with her. Winter is coming and the school Christmas play is being cast! Who will Miss Dinkerton cast as the lead? Miss Dinkerton picks her favorite students Sara and Bobby as the leads and Penny is only cast in a small role as a snowflake. Penny is so excited even though it is a small part with only a few words. Penny's Mom Cindy Parkerson reads her a story about a town with no snow until a magical snowflake Snowy arrives. Penny goes on a fabulous magical adventure with a sweet good hearted lonely Snowflake. Snowy aims to please and show his new friend a good time. Penny decorates her snowflake costume. Penny just wants to be part of the team and doesn’t understand what a lead or big is she just wants to be part of something but ends up becoming the brightest star. Everyone loves Penny’s role in the play, even the leads Sara and Bobby who were mean to her before but now they are shaking her hand. Penny’s mom Cindy and Dad Darby are proud parents of their daughter. It snows that night and Snowy soon has snowflake friends for Christmas. The story is heartwarming and teaches kids that your star shines bright if you have a big heart. Two lonely people finding each other and having a magical good time which changes both of their lives in positive ways.
