Solitaires rend hommage à ceux qui participent à cette épreuve, loin du simple tableau des vainqueurs. Sébastien Destremau souligne que le Vendée Globe, bien plus qu’une compétition, est une aventure humaine où les histoires des marins, et non seulement les podiums, en font la légende.Au-delà de cet hommage, Sébastien Destremau partage également ses préoccupations écologiques concernant l'avenir de l'industrie nautique. Il plaide pour des actions concrètes face au réchauffement climatique et propose une vision plus durable pour la course, notamment pour la prochaine édition de 2028.
