In this short episode, I speak to the pervasive overwhelm I’m seeing in so many people these days. It seems all of us are at the edge of things, and feeling both not in control AND full of grief at the state of the world. Being all the way alive isn’t only about the good feelings; staying present with the hard stuff is also about being “all the way the alive.” My goals with this episode are 1) to remind us all that what we are feeling - the overwhelm, the fear, the grief - is co...

In this short episode, I speak to the pervasive overwhelm I’m seeing in so many people these days. It seems all of us are at the edge of things, and feeling both not in control AND full of grief at the state of the world. Being all the way alive isn’t only about the good feelings; staying present with the hard stuff is also about being “all the way the alive.”

My goals with this episode are

1)  to remind us all that what we are feeling - the overwhelm, the fear, the grief - is completely normal given what we see around us, both close in as well as across the globe. Also: none of is alone in these feelings.

And 2) that there are a few steps we can take as individuals to work with the overwhelm, to live with it rather than pretend or wish we weren’t feeling it. Like all difficult feelings, it can be hard; but staying present for the feelings will allow them - and you - to flow.

I’d love to know if this episode landed for you, and if the exercises were helpful. (I use them myself, and they work for me.)

Dr Elena - That Therapist Chick Elena Sherwood You've done some very hard work, yet find yourself unable to relish the life you've worked so hard to build. This, unfortunately is the case for many of us. Why? It's because being alive and FEELING alive are two vastly different things, and intangibles get in the way. They don't have to. My goal in all I do, is to help you fall madly in love with how your life FEELS. The Upper Room Covenant Ps Reena Welcome to our Podcast! We are all called to live the Word, not just hear it. There is power in the Scriptures, God's words are alive; His word transforms our lives. His Word reveals the truth about who we are in Jesus Christ, and his redeeming love towards us. The desire of my heart is to present the truth of God and his Kingdom in a way that is powerful, relevant and authentic. I believe God is raising up a generation of people passionate about knowing the truth that will inspire people & lead them to Yeshua Hamashiach Success Stories with MVMA Alice Holboroq Join us for all things marketing and small business. Omnilingual (version 2) by H. Beam Piper Loyal Books This short story was first written and published in the year 1957, as part of a collection of short science fiction stories in the collection Astounding Science Fiction. Piper's story is unusual in focusing on the problem of archaeology on an alien culture. How is is possible to decipher writings of an alien race that died out 50,000 years ago? What could we possibly have in common with them? There can be no 'Rosetta Stone' with a shared language so is it impossible? That is the struggle of the protagonist and against all odds she does indeed find a way for our two cultures to meet. An excellent story well written.
