http://joy.org.au/danoandmason/wp-content/uploads/sites/329/2018/06/Alycep.mp3 Dano & Mason had the wonderful Alyce Platt in the studio this week, to talk about her upcoming show ‘Someone’s Daughter’, as part of the Melbourne Cabaret Festival. Listen to the podcast for the inside story… just how autobiographical are the songs? Someone’s Daughter is Alyce Platt’s exploration of the disquieting and electrifying side of one woman’s shadow, her upside down. Unapologetically telling tales of growing up in the suburbs, the cowboys in the attic, being a TV star of the 80’s, getting caught shoplifting, wearing the wrong jacket to a party and the sailors who dance. In a past life, Alyce was a popular Australian television personality, held in genuine affection by the public for her years on television and for her acting career, but these days Alyce is highly regarded by her peers as a singer, songwriter and recording artist. Details about Alyce Platt’s show: Someone’s Daughter, Melbourne Cabaret Festival, Thursday 28 to Saturday 30 June, 2018 8.30pm (60 minutes) at Chapel off Chapel, 12 Little Chapel St, Prahran Bookings: www.melbournecabaret.com   Listen to Dano and Mason LIVE- Every Thursday 4:00-6:30PM The post Someone’s Daughter appeared first on Dano and Mason.
