Son of Abraham

We show up every day at work with the promise that every two weeks, we will get a direct deposit for the agreed-upon amount. Have you ever missed a paycheck? Or have you had one shorted? What a sinking feeling. Am I going to get that money? Was it a mistake? Was I deceived? Should I start looking for a new job? Do I bring it up? What should I do? Each day we live in the tension of promises made and promises kept.This week we look at a few promises made to Abraham and how crazy and outlandish they seem. There’s no way that could ever actually happen. But God, in His covenantal love with Abraham, makes sure they do happen.
