Special Envoy Elan Carr on America's Fight Against Anti-Semitism

On February 5, 2019, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo appointed Elan Carr as the Trump Administration's Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Anti-Semitism. Created 15 years ago by President George W. Bush, the position of Special Envoy is charged with developing and implementing America's policy to fight anti-Semitism at home and abroad. Carr—a veteran of the Iraq War, JAG officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, and former Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County—comes to his position during a time of rising hatred against Jews within America and around the globe. In this podcast, Special Envoy Carr sits down with Tikvah Fund Senior Director Jonathan Silver to discuss his office's efforts to fight Jew-hatred.
