from Hitting the Streets Podcast · host Chele, your rollin' mc...

Welcome back to another exciting episode of the Hitting the Streets Podcast! Today, I'm thrilled to feature Stephen Clayton, a candidate running for SISD School Board Place 2. I had a fantastic time interviewing him and gained valuable insights into Stephen's background and his vision for the school board. Stephen Clayton I am a father of three amazing Sherman ISD students from eighth grade down to kindergarten. I am here for the long-haul. I am an active participant in the PTAs of the two schools my kids attend, a band dad, an athletics dad and have been known to cook a hot dog or two at Neblett. I am a committed community member. I have served on the board of the Sherman Community Players, led the administrative council at my church, and volunteered, all in the name of making Sherman a great place to live. I am a graduate of Austin College, and moved back to Sherman to raise my family, be near friends, and support aging family members. I believe that great education, starting with strong public schools are the cornerstone of the community. My grandparents were both teachers in Sherman schools. My sister and father both have master’s degrees in education from Austin College and I have taught economics for the College off and on for nearly 10 years.  And now I am ready to take on the challenge of representing our entire community by running for School Board.
