The Rebels next host Georgia Southern (2-1) on Saturday at 6:45 p.m. CT on SEC Network. The Eagles’ only loss was a one-point, near-upset of Heisman candidate Ashton Jeanty and Boise State in their season opener. They bounced back with a 20-17 win at Nevada and a 42-14 win over South Carolina State at home last week.Quarterback JC French has thrown for 776 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions so far this season. Tyler Fromm is a transfer tight end from Auburn and had a 31-yard reception against the Rebels in 2021. He’s one of 14 different players with a reception. Marques Watson-Trent is Georgia Southern’s leading tackler (28). He also has a quarterback hurry and forced fumble.But that’s about it as far as previewing the Rebels' final non-conference tune-up before SEC play opens with Kentucky.
