Striving in Prayer

Paul asked the church to pray for two things, and God answered their prayers in amazing ways (read Acts 21 to see how). But Paul didn't ask the church just to pray but to strive in prayer. What does it mean to strive in prayer? (Romans 15.30-33, January 22, 2012)
