Success

from JOIN UP DOTS - GET RICH & LIVE FREE (Business Coaching With A Touch Of Life Coaching Too)

Should We Build Success Or Go Again By Resucceeding? My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who came to the show, and I must admit I thought "Seen this type of guy before" And then I dug deeper and my interest was grabbed. So here is the official bio, he is a Franchise Consultant and Sales Trainer at John L. Scott, one of the most successful real estate companies in the nation. After becoming his company's top performer in sales, breaking records and selling tens of millions of dollars in real estate, he experienced his "moment of disgust" and came to realize the dark side of a successful life. With that in mind, he wrote Resucceed to help others master their mindset and find fulfillment in success rather than becoming trapped by it. No here is the bit that hooked me, as it is 100% different to what I talk about on Join Up Dots most shows. He says "Here's the deal: Just because you excel at some skill or possess a certain ability doesn't mean that is why you are here on Earth or what you should give your life to. That's the lie of success, the trap and enticement of achievement. We reach a point of failure when we mistakenly become better versions of our achievement instead of better versions of ourselves. Interesting stuff, which to be honest I didn't quite understand, so of course I had to ask him on the show to explain more. So what was the moment of disgust in his life where he realises that success wasn't quite what he expected? And where do most people go wrong in his view? Not knowing what they really want, or focusing on the small things instead of the big audacious goals? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr James Colburn. Show Highlights During the show we discussed such weighty topics with James Colburn such as: Why most people in life get kicked off a treadmill and why it takes so much time to climb back on. James speaks openly about that feeling of wanting more, even though he had everything in his life at that time in his life. Why it is so important to build a level of celebration into your business plan going forward. Dont just focus on the next goal. and lastly…. Why he knows that he is on the right track in his life, and why it is good news for himself and his family.
