Suspect Your Elders

from Invisible Choir · host Reach Freaks

“Respect your elders.” It’s something we’ve all heard since we were young. Albert Flick, a 76-year-old US Army veteran from Westbrook, Maine fit the precise mold of the type of individual we’re expected to revere. You’d never know based on appearance alone that this man had an extremely dark & violent past. When a judge gave Mr. Flick another chance at life after years in and out of prison for violent crimes, he started over in a new town where no one knew of his past…but allowing this elderly man to walk free proved to be one of the most costly & deadly mistakes the state of Maine could have ever made.  Written by Michael Dunphy Jr., Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway.  Special Thanks to Jenny Almeida.    Visit Invisible Choir on the web:  Patreon - Invisible Choir Premium: https://www.patreon.com/InvisibleChoir  Website: https://www.invisiblechoir.com/  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/InvisibleChoirPodcast/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/invisiblechoir/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/InvisibleChoir Written/Audio Sources:  FOIA Request Maine Attorney General’s Office  What to Know About Albert Flick, the 77-Year-Old Murderer Deemed 'Too Old' to Be Violent Man Deemed Too Old to Be a Threat Fatally Stabs Woman — the Same Way He Murdered Wife 40 Years Ago Man convicted for killing woman in front of her children | AP News A Long History of Attacking Women, Yet He Was Free to Kill Again - The New York Times Jury convicts Albert Flick of murdering Kimberly Dobbie | newscentermaine.com Robert E. Andrew Schulz's Flagrant with Akaash Singh Andrew Schulz's Flagrant with Akaash Singh Flagrant is a comedy podcast that delivers unfiltered, unapologetic, and unruly hot takes directly to your dome piece. In an era dictated by political correctness, hosts Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh, along with AlexxMedia and Mark Gagnon, could care less about sensitivities. If it’s funny and flagrant it flies. If you are sensitive this podcast is not for you. But if you miss the days of comedians actually being funny instead of preaching to a choir then welcome to The Flagrancy. THE GREATEST HANG IN THE UNIVERSE! Explicit UnLearned Katherine and Bill UnLearned is a bi-weekly podcast focused on unlearning harmful narratives taught to us about blackness, womanhood, sexuality, and religion. Through our show, we hope to deconstruct these power structures and to create a space of relearning. As we share our stories, we hope that you will share yours. Together we can show that blackness means many things, that it is comprised of many stories, and that many voices make our choir. Explicit Peculiar Picture Show Brandon Gregory, Maria Milazzo Hosts Brandon Gregory and Maria Milazzo, two neurodivergent former English majors, talk about movies as they relate to mental health, mental illness, and invisible illness. From blockbuster hits to arthouse films, there are plenty of movies commenting on these issues. Conditions ranging from depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder to PTSD, emotional abuse, and oppression are discussed. Explicit Thee Invisible Cabin Bailey Jay & Matt Terhune Internet sensation Bailey Jay, aka linetrap, and her friend Matt talk about news, politics, celebrity gossip, and more.
