The beginning of any year is a great time to take stock of the laws and policies that apply to innovation and technology. Where we’ve been, where we currently are, and where we plan on going. There is a lot on the plate of policymakers on both sides of the aisle seeking to protect consumers and investors, as well as technology advocates and innovators who worry about the negative impact that overly restrictive rules and regulations will have on the advancement of innovation. This week, episode 144 of the Tech Intersect™ Podcast is about technology’s progressive future!

To stay on the leading edge of any opportunity, especially investing, you have to empower yourself with the tools and resources needed to keep your knowledge and skills current. And if you’re relying on last year’s information (or even last month’s!), you are already behind.

Sure, you can try to figure it out on your own at YouTube University. The problem is, it’s difficult to separate fact from fiction with so many carnival barkers banking on your inexperience, screaming ALL CRYPTO ALL THE TIME, and naysayers, usually from legacy finance, banking on your fear, yelling ALL CRYPTO IS A SCAM, while quietly helping their high net worth clients to invest.

All of it muddies the waters when all you want to know is how to get in safely, legally and confidently so you’re not left behind.

That’s why I wrote Digital Money Demystified, where I take the top ten crypto myths head on and give you well researched, well supported facts to empower you to make good choices out there in the new digital cash economy.

Lots of books and courses teach you which crypto assets to invest in. Digital Money Demystified is the book you read before you dive into those. Visit DigitalMoneyDemystified.com to learn more and prepare for the future of money and wealth today.

Adam Kovacevich is the CEO of Chamber of Progress, a new center-left tech industry policy coalition promoting technology’s progressive future.  The organization works to ensure that all Americans benefit from technological leaps, and that the tech industry operates responsibly and fairly.

Adam is a veteran Democratic tech industry leader who has had a front row seat for more than 20 years in the tech industry’s political maturation. He is an expert in helping lead technology companies through today’s challenging political environment. Adam also previously led Google’s 15-person U.S. policy strategy and external affairs team.

Some of the talking points Adam and I go over in this episode include:

  • What happens when new technology is disrupting heavily regulated industries.
  • The future of wealth and digital assets are tech and finance driven.
  • How technology has helped advance a lot of progressive goals.
  • What’s on the horizon as a matter of policy for technology.
