Today’s podcast begins with a reading from Mark 4:26-29, a parable of Jesus that gives us a snapshot of the kingdom of God. I hope you have your Bible handy, because in addition to reading this parable from Mark 4, I am going to refer to a number of other passages from the Bible for you and your family to look up, study, and reflect upon. Please open your Bible now to the 4th chapter of Mark, verse 26, as we invite the Holy Spirit to speak to us today in the Word: Into my heart, into my heart, come into my heart, Lord Jesus. Come in today. Come in to stay. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Mark 4:26-32

26 He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28 All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”
