Logline: The chef returns for the waitress's dad's funeral only to learn she's pregnant with his child, leading to a nasty custody battle until he proposes marriage as the only solution. Episode 6 Summary: Dan returns to town 6 months after his bad breakup with April, thinking he's attending her dad Henry's funeral. But it was a ruse to get Dan there after April discovered she was pregnant. Furious she hid his child, Dan threatens custody. April refuses to let him be involved. Veronica pushes them to reconcile. Dan proposes the only solution is marriage. Though reluctant, April ultimately accepts. After making up, the couple welcome a baby girl. They declare their love and look ahead to their new family future.
