THE APPLICATION LETTER - advice for students (5 min)

from Darkhorse Training · host Darkhorse Training

This podcast is an interview (August, 2006) between an FE college I.T. trainer (Alan Carr) and Gary Cookson, the Human Resources Manager of Golden Gates Housing Ltd in Warrington, Cheshire, England. It addresses some common issues (including those suggested by an FE college careers officer) surrounding writing letters of application. The interview was conducted in a town centre workplace - hence the background traffic noise. This podcast has been created as a sample resource for Student Services advisors in UK colleges of Further Education. It is part of an LSN skills developent project, aimed at improving the I.T. skills of Student Services teams, providing them with useable resources and encouraging the further development of their own e-resources. (Two other podcast interviews are available discussing CVs and The Job Interview.) Alan Carr, August 2006 http://dht.podomatic.com [email protected]
