The arm of a sundial clock

At first I wondered why I had a picture of a sundial arm, which casts a shadow to indicate time, but then I discovered that not only can this arm be termed a stylus but its original name from ancient Greek, is gnomon (pronounced nomon). It means one who knows or examines. There are many terms derived from this root word such as 'agnostic' without knowledge; :diagnosis' which literally means of discernment; 'cognitive' learned; 'incognito' unknown; 'ignorant" not knowing; 'recognise' know again. Apostle Paul declared, "Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God" (Romans 11:33). If we believe that too, let's trust God to guide us with His complete knowledge.
