The vastness of the Amazon Rainforest --- an awe inspiring journey. Our guest is none other than adventure travel guru Katherine Parker Magyar. Starting in Manaus, Brazil and heading north for days on end, listen as Katherine discusses her encounters with indigenous peoples who live in a world devoid of life's modern conveniences including cell phones. Katherine tells us about the wonderful wildlife and her infatuation with the pink river dolphin.  How the jungle comes alive at night with bird mating calls, the sounds of howler monkeys, and save for her flashlight, she and her river boat cruise companions would be shrouded in a darkness so deep they would be unable to see the person sitting right next to them.
