This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, Bible Passage (KJV): 1 Timothy 1:1212 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;====Today’s Session  - Start of the BP Movement - The founding ethos of the BP Movement- Start of the Singapore-Malaysia-Australia BP Churches  "For the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ." (Rev 1:9)  START OF BIBLE PRESBYTERIANS  The Break with OPC Different mindsets within the new Presbyterian Church of America (now known as Orthodox Presbyterian Church) arose.  One group was openly smoking and drinking their beer and wine.  The second group were offended by the smoking and drinking.  This second group also felt ostracized because they were premillennial, which some in the first group considered “dispensational”.Besides the disagreements about smoking and drinking and eschatology, a third conflict also arose.  It concerned mission work. Gresham Machen had earlier formed the Independent Board for Presbyterian Foreign Missions in response against PC in USA's liberal mission board.  This independent board would support only missionaries who are Presbyterians. This led to McIntire and several other ministers coming out of OPC and forming the Bible Presbyterian movement in 1937.Both groups were strongly Presbyterian and Reformed in beliefs and practices and strongly supported the unity of covenant theology and the fundamental principles of Presbyterian church polity.  But they differed on the following 3 points. These were among the prominent reasons which led to the founding of the Bible Presbyterian Church.====Modern Church History Series on The Bible-Presbyterian Faith (Part 2)Bible Presbyterian Church of WA Friday 2nd September 2016To view the series playlist, use this link: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6sOoOw1734YdCLBNakTD3LTo watch this video on YouTube, use this link: https://youtu.be/ohSbvhHNcHEIf you were helped by this recording, please share this with someone who would benefit from this.
