The Blessing

"May I have your blessing?" I can remember asking my wife's father this question when I was first interested in dating his daughter. Bekah and I took a trip to spend time with her family where I had the opportunity to meet her dad for the first time. We were not even at her parents house for 15 minutes when her dad took me to his basement to show me his gun collection. Talk about intimidating. But as the week went on I mustered up the courage to ask him for his blessing to date his daughter to which he graciously said "yes". I had his blessing.We begin our new series on the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus explains what it's like to receive "The Blessing" from God. But His blessing is reserved for a certain kind of person. Join us as we discover who these people are.
