THE CHIRPS - PART II

The chirping birds are saying this time..

The threat is theirs and the life is mine..

The second and the giant has arrived...

They are losing even those who were fine..

The chirping birds are saying this time..

The threat is worse and the worst in line..

The trees were delivering oxygen for free..

But they cutted them out for thee..

Now universe is lacking it for sure..

For the thing which was free and pure...

The pure was the water and the marine...

The threats are theirs and the life is mine...

The universe gave the stars to glitter ...

Is now wrapped with the plastic they littered.

The plastic is the same and same over them.

The effort to make it worse are the shame..

The same are the things, even if they whine...

The threat is theirs and the life is mine...

I have dreamt the world without thee .

Where we would find the heaven in the sea...

The fishes, the prawns and there the life...

Are searching for something which is more divine...

Divine was the water but they thought it is wine...

The threats are theirs and the life is mine...

The trees will get the life without fear..

And the forest will have ample bear..

The tigers, the lions and their family..

Would feel the freedom and live happily...

The happier was the life of the species with spine..

The threat are theirs and the life is mine..

The coolest thing is now a crying snow...

And the trees are now a bent over bow...

The febricity has risen so far..

It has lead to a silent war..

The war hasn't ended..but they are still defying...

The threat is theirs and the life is mine...

The bears who lives at the poles..

Are now digging the larger holes..

They loved the poles for their chill..

But its decreasing there, on the highest hills .

The floes are now somewhat inclined .....

The threats are theirs and the life is mine..

They have got now the arid lands...

It has changed now to enormous sand...

The fecundity of the entire terrain..

Has brought down to make it barren ..

The barren is the land for the poor kine..

The threat is theirs and the life is mine. .

Comic relief is provided by Tilly Slowboy, the disaster-prone nursemaid of John and Dot's baby, and Boxer, the family dog.The cricket who chirps on the family hearth assumes fairy form to save the day when disaster looms in the form of a mysterious stranger. Sentimental? Certainly - but this, the third (1845) of Dickens' short Christmas books, is as charming and irresistible as its predecessors A Christmas Carol (1843) and The Chimes (1844).The novella is subdivided into chapters called 'Chirps', similar to the 'Quarters' of The Chimes or the 'Staves' of A Christmas Carol. (Introduction by Ruth Golding) Cricket on the Hearth, The by Charles Dickens (1812 - 1870) LibriVox John Peerybingle, a carrier, lives with his wife Dot (who is much younger than he), their baby, their nanny Tilly Slowboy, and a mysterious lodger. A cricket constantly chirps on the hearth and acts as a guardian angel to the family, at one point assuming a human voice to warn John that his suspicions that Dot is having an affair with the lodger are wrong. The life of the Peerybingles frequently intersects with that of Caleb Plummer, a poor toymaker employed by the miser Mr. Tackleton. Caleb has a blind daughter Bertha and a son Edward, who travelled to South America and seemingly never returned. Tackleton is now on the eve of marrying Edward's sweetheart, May.In the end, the lodger is revealed to be none other than Edward. Tackleton's heart is melted by the Christmas season, like Ebeneezer Scrooge, and surrenders May to marry her true love. It is suggested ambiguously that Bertha regains her sight at the end.
