"The Elite Mindset" with Lauren and Dave Regula

from The Relentless Pursuit Podcast · host Jordan and Rosanna

We share our wide-ranging conversation we have with three-time Olympian Lauren Regula and her husband Dave. We cover the Olympics, age and experience, changing careers, moving your family, mom guilt, the importance of community and coaching for self-growth, depression and perseverance, the mental game, family planning and date nights, and much more from this inspiring couple. Lauren Bay-Regula is a performance, mindset, and health coach for professional women and moms. She is a mom-of-three, wife to Dave, business-owner of TrAk Athletics. Lauren is also a 2x-Olympian for the Canadian Women’s Softball Team  (2004 and 2008) and knows the meaning of “hard-work.” She’s a left-handed pitcher who’s been exposed to some of the best training programs, nutritionists, and mental performance coaches and  incorporates what she has learned into her mission at trAk athletics. In 2016, with 3 kiddos aged 7, 5 and 4, Lauren came out of retirement and pitched for Team Canada in the World Championships, earning a Bronze Medal. And now, in 2021, at 40 years old, she is heading to her third olympics.Growing up in Akron, Dave developed an early love of competition and coaching. He went on to become a three-time All-Ivy-League Football player as well as Ivy League record holder. From Dartmouth, Dave went to the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade where he traded options on short term interest rates for 16 years. His time spent in the pressure cooker of the trading floor gives him a unique perspective on maximizing health and career at the same time. He believes that individual attention and education about training, nutrition, and lifestyle are the keys to implementing sustainable change in his clients--whether your an athlete, business owner, or parent.
