Once again, we Gen Xers were the beneficiaries of a cultural phenomenon that we may never see again; daytime dramas ruled the airwaves in the 70s and 80s and provided us with storylines that were so far fetched, so ludicrous, it's a wonder the actors didn't crack themselves up mid-scene.
