THE GIFT I COULD NEVER EARN

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8 Devotional Message: There are things in life we work hard to achieve, but salvation is not one of them. God’s greatest gift—grace—cannot be earned by good deeds, religious effort, or moral perfection. It is freely given out of His deep love for us. When we try to earn what God has already gifted, we often end up weary and discouraged. But grace invites us to rest. It reminds us that Christ has already paid the price we could never afford. On the cross, Jesus exchanged our weakness for His righteousness, our failure for His victory. This gift humbles us because it leaves no room for pride, and it comforts us because it leaves no room for fear. Knowing that our standing with God is based on His love—not our performance—frees us to live with gratitude and obedience, not pressure. Grace does not excuse sin; it empowers transformation. When we receive the gift we could never earn, our lives begin to reflect the love that saved us. Reflection Are you still trying to earn what God has already given freely? Prayer Lord, thank You for the gift of grace I could never earn. Teach me to receive it fully and live in grateful obedience. Let my life honor the gift of salvation through Christ. Amen.
