It tells the story of how St. John of Matha miraculously used his mantle for a sail as he was trying to escape the muslims in Tunisia with 140 Christian souls. I think all my listeners will enjoy it. A Man's Need for God Dave Nelson Our goal for A Man's Need for God podcast is to provide our audience the opportunity to hear authentic, and even raw, testimonies of faith, and from there, take a dive into people’s personal relationships with God, and how and why they Need Him. As a priest recently said to Dave, “we need to provide authentic, real testimonials, because a man could be in the depths of a trial right now, and he needs hope - and an authentic connection.”  This is not so much theological, although we will speak in the Catholic or Christian context, but more, experiential, personal, honest, vulnerable and real. I want to hear how Christian men depend on God, not half-heartedly, but wholly, whether as a CEO, a politician, a recovering addict, a veteran, a principal, a coach and more, and how that plays out in their day to day life, the struggles they encounter, and the obstacles they overcome by loving God above all things, and making Him their center. I want to take the opportunity to create an environm Working Man Harmel Academy of the Trades Working Man is the official podcast of Harmel Academy of the Trades, a Catholic, residential trade school in Grand Rapids, MI. Souls of the Christian Apostolate Souls of the Christian Apostolate Welcome to the SOCA (Souls of the Christian Apostolate) podcast. Our aim is to help you order your exterior and interior life to become a saint. Our recordings are typically informative and reflective dialogues about Catholic mysticism, tradition, doctrine, and evangelism. Our vision is the salvation of as many souls as possible from this century. SOCA is inspired by the spiritual classic, ''The Soul of the Apostolate'' by Dom Chautard: the grace of Christ is the foundation of evangelism, meaning prayer must be primary in making apostles. This nucleus of apostles will set the world on fire and save souls. Our mission is to form young men and women with disciplined prayer lives and tradition so they can be instruments of evangelism. SOCA is a 501c3 nonprofit organization of lay Catholics. This podcast fits SOCA's mission and vision as an effort to inspire saints through the interior life and tradition on a mass scale.
