Inside of every human heart is an innate desire for belonging. We "long to belong" to something bigger than ourselves. We even identify ourselves by what we belong to. We belong to sports teams, political parties, fitness centers, grocery stores (Costco, anyone?) But the Bible explains that because of our faith in Christ, we belong to the family of God. God's family is a bigger family. It's a stronger family. It's an enduring family. Yes, it’s a messy family but it’s also more beautiful than any other family you could possibly belong to.
