In Ezekiel 3:17 & 33:7, the Lord appointed Ezekiel as a Watchman, and held him responsible for warning the people – with the caution that if he did not warn the people, their blood would be on his hands.In Ezekiel 33:1-9, the Lord again calls the prophet to blow the trumpet of warning when he sees the sword coming. Hosea 9:8 recounts Ephraim as a prophet and Watchman before the Lord.
