Thou Hast Lacked Nothing

What is in our hearts? God knows, but He wants us to know, too. Moses reiterates to the people how God had kept them the forty years in the wilderness. He tested them and showed them what was in their heart, so they would learn to rely completely upon God. There was no better schoolroom than the wilderness, and there was no better teacher than God. There were times when He had to take away the very things the people didn't think they could do without, in order to teach them that physical blessings have no eternal value except in how unselfishly they are given away. In the realm of the Spirit, we lack nothing. Everything else is passing away. Read lesson: 1369B
