TIM KENNEDY | Scars and Stripes (Ep. 316)

from Undaunted.Life: A Man's Podcast by Kyle Thompson · host Undaunted.Life

DISCLAIMER: In 2025, Tim Kennedy admitted to stolen valor—fabricating stories about his service as a Green Beret, falsely claiming awards and honors he never received, and exaggerating key parts of his military record. At Undaunted.Life, we have zero tolerance for dishonesty about military service. Integrity matters. That said, unlike others who have removed his content, we’ve chosen to keep this episode up. It’s likely some of what he says here is untrue, but we believe our audience deserves the opportunity to hear it and judge for themselves. As Christians, we believe in grace, repentance, and restoration. We pray that Tim takes real steps to make things right. ------------------------------------- In this episode, we welcome the one and only Tim Kennedy to the show. He is a Green Beret, sniper, retired MMA fighter who fought in the UFC and Strikeforce, the only 3-time All Army Combatives Champion, and the star of History Channel’s Hunting Hitler and Discovery’s Hard to Kill. Today, Tim owns a tactical training company called Sheepdog Response. He’s also the author of a brand new book out this week called Scars and Stripes: An Unapologetically American Story of Fighting the Taliban, UFC Warriors, and Myself. In this interview, we discuss why he decided to write such a raw and revealing autobiography, how his childhood affected his decisions as an adult, getting into MMA in the early days of the sport, how 9/11 and some really rough personal decisions eventually landed him in Special Forces, his first combat kills, his errant grenade throw that hurt civilians, how he tried to balance being active duty military and a professional fighter, and much more. Let’s get into it… Episode notes and links HERE Donate to support our mission of equipping men to push back darkness Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
