TKG Ep 75 First Impressions Of A Bay Area Golf Course

from The Knackered Golfist Podcast · host The Knackered Golfist

Send Me A Text Message I would love to know where you are listening to me from!!Hello again Fellow Golfists, In this episode, I chatted about a new golf course that I got to play going into the last weekend in July 2022.  This course had significant changes in elevation which I really like.  It reminded me of a course that I used to play when I was in college.  I got to play the East Course at Blue Rock Springs Golf Course in Vallejo California.  I shot 82 out there and had a good time having Davis Love III swing thoughts.  I drove the ball better and putted a bit more consistently.  I mentioned a bit of history of the golf course and surrounding golf courses in the area and how I got to play a course a while back that is now closed.  Mare Island Golf Course is now closed and I am quite sad about it.  It was the golf course that was adjacent to the Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo California that closed in April of 1996.  It was a gem of a course that I got to play a while ago.  It was the oldest course west of the Mississippi River.  Anyway I sort of broke down what it was like to play golf in significant wind and how the wind messes with your brain.  I adopted a new method of putting that was consistent for this round and I chose a putter from my collection that I actually have never played golf with on an actual golf course. Thanks for listening to The Knackered Golfist Podcast!!  Support the show#theknackeredgolfistpodcast@theknackeredgolfistCheck out The Knackered Golfist on YouTubehttps://www.youtube.com/@TheKnackeredGolfistOughton's Golf Repairhttps://oughtonsgolf.com/Thank a Veteran Today!!https://www.pgareach.org/services/militaryThe Observant Ear Radio Network GOD Bless You!!
