To Know & Be Known - Part 4: Sex in the (Ancient) City

from Disciple Dojo · host JM Smith

To Know & Be Known Part 4: Sex in the (Ancient) City When it comes to sexual ethics, the people of God (in both testaments) have always been called to be peculiar. To be different. To be Holy. So what does that look like for a follower of Jesus living in a post-Christendom, secular, sex-saturated society? How should Christians approach topics like premarital sex or same-sex marriage? How do we form our ethic in ways that engage with our surrounding culture rather than withdraw from it and circle the wagons in our protected Christian bubbles? These topics and more are discussed in this final session. The workbook for this course is available as a PDF download at http://jmsmith.org/store/free-downloads

Jesus also references the commandments in his sermon on the mount saying, “...whoever does them [the commandments] will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:19) Looking forward to exploring these with you!
