TRUE FREEDOM: LIBERTY IN CHRIST

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." – Galatians 5:1 Devotional Message: True freedom is not the absence of rules or living as we please—it is found in Christ. The world often defines freedom as doing whatever feels right, but that kind of liberty often leads to bondage, emptiness, and regret. Real freedom is experienced when we walk in the Spirit and are no longer slaves to sin. Through the cross, Jesus broke the chains of guilt, shame, and spiritual slavery. He purchased our liberty, not so that we can indulge the flesh, but so we can serve God joyfully and live out His purpose with peace and boldness. This liberty is a call to stand firm in faith, refusing to return to the old patterns that once held us captive. Living in Christ’s freedom means letting His truth guide our steps, His Spirit empower our choices, and His grace define our identity. This is the kind of liberty that cannot be taken away, because it is rooted in His finished work. Today, Ask Yourself: Am I truly walking in the freedom Christ gave me, or am I still allowing the weight of sin, fear, or past failures to hold me back? Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for setting me free through Your sacrifice. Help me to walk daily in the liberty You’ve given me, standing firm in faith and living for Your glory. Amen.
