Helsingin Balalaikkaorkesteri järjestää tukikonsertin Ukrainalle Helsingin Kulttuuritalolla lauantaina 28.5.2022 klo 18. Konsertissa vierailevina artisteina esiintyvät rap-artisti Paleface, mestarikansanlaulaja Hilja Grönfors Trio, viulisti Miritza Lundberg, mieskuoro Könsikkäät sekä 2021 Voice of Finland -voittaja Kalle Virtanen. Perinteisen ohjelmiston lisäksi balalaikkaorkesteri tekee konsertissa yhteistyötä näiden eri musiikkityylejä edustavien artistien kanssa. Konsertin lipputulot lahjoitetaan lyhentämättömänä Ukrainan tukemiseen Unicefin kautta. Tässä ohjelmassa tuntemuksiaan niin tilanteeseen kuin tulevaan konserttiinkin liittyen kertovat Reetta Sironen, Pentti Yrjänäinen sekä Emilia Karjalainen. Vuonna 1910 perustettu Helsingin balalaikkaorkesteri on maailman toiseksi vanhin yhä toiminnassa oleva venäläisten kansansoitinten orkesteri. Orkesterilla on ollut myös rooli kansojen välisiä siltoja luovana kulttuuritoimijana - jo 112 vuotta. Orkesterin soittajat ovat nykyisin pääosin suomalaisia, mutta mukana on myös venäläissyntyisiä soittajia ja useilla orkesterin jäsenillä on läheisiä yhteyksiä Venäjään: opiskelua, työskentelyä, ystävyyssuhteita, sukujuuria. Osa orkesterin soittajista on venäjänkielisiä, joten he ovat seuranneet itänaapurimme valtionmedian informaatiosotaa sodan puolesta. Orkesterin jäsenille on ollut järkytys huomata venäläisen valtamedian valheet, ja kuinka ne ovat uponneet suureen osaan Venäjän kansasta. www.balalaikka.fi www.mistersuomi.fi
