Episode 7: First, a note on the audio: Doug’s mic was acting up so it’s a little crunchy.Second: we get back to spinning the globe after neglecting it for a while. We have confirmed the structure of the mystery sack bit; this week, we grouse about holiday obligations. Gisèle Pelicot's book, "A Hymn to Life: Shame has to Change Sides," was released on February 17th. Her horrific and triumphant story is getting coverage in U.S. media. You can read the Times’ interview here: Gisele Pelicot Interview in the NYT. Be ready to cry. Take two beautiful people, plop them into a charming setting, and watch the magic happen! The character played by Hugh Grant (I shall not comment on Hugh Grant’s character) was likeable, as were his zany group of friends. Here’s the trailer: Notting Hill Trailer“Before Sunrise” definitely had the magic. Julie Delpy, Ethan Hawke, Vienna, one enchanting evening: Before Sunrise - Trailer. This one holds up. We’ll be watching the rest of the trilogy as soon as it comes in from the library.
