Ce lo spiega il giornalista tedesco Udo Gumpel che si occupa da anni delle stragi nazifasciste riuscendo a ottenere la riapertura di azioni giudiziarie nei confronti di ex ufficiali delle SS rintracciati nelle loro città di residenza dopo lunghe e pazienti ricerche. Grazie a lui sono stati portati alla luce i casi di Albert Meier e Klaus Konrad, responsabili delle stragi di Marzabotto e San Polo e quello di Gerhard Sommer, tenente della 16^ Divisione SS, tra i responsabili dell’eccidio di Sant’Anna di Stazzema del 12 agosto 1944, nel quale vennero trucidati 560 civili italiani.A cura di Francesco De Leo.
