Unconventional Guidance for When the World Feels like its on Fire

from Liberating Mind, Body and Spirit Podcast · host Dr. Kristine Miranda

If you feel like the fight for collective liberation is weighing on you, know that you aren’t alone. That’s what I wanted to talk to  you about today - how to be with and honor what is being stirred up for us at this time and explore ways in which we can move forward towards healing and right relating. While it may feel like we are isolated or alone, we are not. This is how colonization has harmed all of us…reinforcing an illusion of fragmentation/ separateness and a forgetting of our connection to one another. These periods of fear, devastation and uncertainty push our human bodies and our humanness to their limits. In knowing that and honoring that, my invitation to you is an unconventional one but I stand by it.  As a therapist, I’m a big believer in honoring your feelings; however, I think its important that we not get stuck in immobilization and hopelessness.  One of my Elders and teachers, Tita Leny Strobel, offered an antidote to hopelessness, which I share as a way for us to move forward together. Take care of you and your heart, and trust.  In knowing that everyone is on their own journey, make choices that bring your mind, body, and spirit into congruence. It is in being honoring of ourself and one another that we can all find connection again and return to a decolonial way of living.     ******** If you want to catch the latest from me on upcoming teachings, events and offerings, visit www.kristinemiranda.com and sign up to my email list or follow me on my new Instagram account @dr.kristinemiranda Sending you much love and appreciation.
